Adult Choir
Brief description of the ministry:
The Adult Choir is made up of men and women who enjoy singing and glorifying God in music, praise, and worship. The choir provides music on the second and third Sunday. Rehearsal times are 6:45 p.m. every Tuesday (except the Tuesday before the fourth Sunday).
Anniversary Ministries
Brief description of the ministry:
This ministry acknowledges member’s wedding anniversaries, encourages married couples to stay together and gives Biblical exhortation concerning the marriage. Information regarding such is turned in to Mary Green or the Church Secretary.
Audio and Video Ministry
Brief description of the ministry:
The purpose of this ministry is to bring others to the Church, to bring all people to a knowledge of the Lord, and to help lift others up in their walk with the Lord. Tapes of all services are recorded to help the sick, shut-in, incarcerated, and anyone who wants a tape.
Black History Committee
Brief description of the ministry:
The mission of the Black History Committee is to educate and share a deep understanding of African-American religion, history, and culture. Black History is observed the entire month of February; but it is honored 365 days a year. Planning meetings are scheduled as needed. Weekly meetings and activities are scheduled January-February. The annual Black History Program is celebrated on the fourth Sunday in February. All members, including children, youth, and adults are welcome to join.
Children’s Ministry / Children’s Church
Brief description of the ministry:
Children attending Children’s Church experience a message from God geared to their age group. Our Children’s Service is designed to hold the interest of the children with Bible games, singing, Bible stories and more.
Christian Executive Organization
Brief description of the ministry:
This is an outreach ministry for Trinity and the surrounding community. We assist in career and business ventures through seminars, focused groups, think tanks, mentoring and the dissemination of information about community resources pertaining to entrepreneurs. We organize and plan a quarterly Business Expo for Trinity Temple Business’.
Communications Ministry
Brief description of the ministry:
This newly formed ministry is dedicated to keeping church members informed on events that happen within the week, such as deaths, funerals and any other information that will keep church members up to date on what’s happening in the church. If you are interested in joining this ministry, please contact the president of this ministry.
Deacon Board
Brief description of the ministry:
The Deacon Board consists of men that are special appointed by the Pastor to fulfill and oversee tasks around the church and concerning Trinity Temple members. We assist in the administering of communion, patrolling the parking, security of the building, prayer, teaching, offering and more at the request of the Pastor. Biblical reference of a deacon can be found in I Timothy 3:8-10.
Deaconess Board
Brief description of the ministry:
As wives of the appointed Deacons we are providing spiritual and natural support to our husbands, the Church members and the Pastor. Among other support duties, we also prepare the communion table on the 1st Sunday. Biblical reference of a deaconess can be found in
I Timothy 3:11.
Divine Deliverance “Footprints” Alcoholics Victorious Recovery Ministry
Brief description of the ministry:
This is a recovery program that introduces people to a Christ-centered recovery. “People” includes alcohol and other drug abusers, their spouses, and adult children.
Drama Department
Brief description of the ministry:
The Trinity Temple Drama Department exhibits the art dealing with the writing and production of plays. We have a small team of members that participate regularly along with volunteers from the Sunday School Department, Choir, and Musicians in the Church. We generally have, but are not limited to, two major performances annually (i.e. Easter and Christmas). Interested persons should contact this group’s leader or listen for the announcement for volunteers as the presentation date approaches.
Greeters
Brief description of the ministry:
The members of this organization show other Church members and guests a face to face greeting before they enter into the Sanctuary. We offer our smiles, hugs, handshakes, words or encouragement, and directions to aid in their mindset of entering the Sanctuary with thanksgiving and praise.
Health Clinic
Brief description of the ministry:
We’re a community outreach that provides regular monitoring of blood sugars, cholesterols, blood pressures, weights, urine protein, testing for colon cancer and annual Mammograms ALL FREE OF CHARGE. We are maintained by donations from the staff, our pastor, and clients of small equipment and supplies. We provide flu shots during the season at a nominal fee for non-Medicare clients, on site, for your convenience. We are staffed by all RN’s and records are kept locked for confidentiality. Our hours of Operation are Tuesday 10:00 a.m. ~ 3:00 p.m. & Wednesday 3:00 p.m. ~ 8:00 p.m.
Home and Foreign Mission
Brief description of the ministry:
This ministry is focused on administering to the needs of people (food, clothing, utilities, and shelter) both at home and abroad. Visiting the sick and praying for the ill are included.
Hospitality Department
Brief description of the ministry:
The hospitality ministry is a group of individuals, organized to show kindness in entertaining strangers, visitors, and special guests. We’re most visible on Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and in the kitchen preparing and serving meals for funerals.
Inspirational Choir
Brief description of the ministry:
This choir is for men and women comprised for singing soul stirring gospel music. Our style of music is traditional gospel music for the young and more seasoned congregation. Rehearsals are held on the third and fourth Mondays of the month and the Sat. before the first Sunday.
Jail/Prison Ministry
Brief description of the ministry:
This ministry provides church services for those who are incarcerated. There is singing, praise and worship, testimonies, laying on of hands, praying for those who are sick, and preaching the Word of God.
Male Chorus
Brief description of the ministry:
We are an all male choir who renders selections every 5th Sunday of the month and rehearse the Saturday prior to the 5th Sunday.
We also remain available to support the pastor on outside engagements and special services at his request. Members are individually contacted for special rehearsals.
Marriage Ministry
Brief description of the ministry:
This ministry is designed to strengthen marriages and families using the word of God. Specific workshops and retreats are scheduled to encourage couples to grow in their marriages as they grow in Christ.
Men’s Ministry: Men in Demand
Brief description of the ministry:
This organization is for men ages 18 years and above. Our purpose is to fill the void for young men moving from teen to adulthood in need of a mentor group within the church. We have breakfast meetings on an occasional basis to discuss solutions, from a Biblical perspective, to problems that are faced as men.
Ministers’ and Elders’ Board
Brief description of the ministry:
The ministers and elders are responsible for visiting the hospitals, providing Holy Communion for the sick and shut-in, preaching on Sunday nights, Sunday morning pulpit leadership, Holy Communion serving, Sunday School teaching, and anything else that the Pastor deems necessary. Their main responsibility is to assist the Pastor in various capacities of the ministry.

We are the wives of the ministers and elders. We are taught to have patience, endurance, forbearance and a heart full of love, mercy, and understanding for everyone. We are helpers, leaders, and examples for other women and church members. We fulfill speaking engagements and assist where ever we can.

Brief description of the ministry:
We are women who feel a special call of God to the work of the ministry. Our primary focus is soul winning and to support the vision and mission of our Pastor, Bishop W. B. Henderson. Our in and outreach ministries include hospital & home visitation, nursing/convalescent home ministry, altar call prayer, gospel preaching, intercessory prayer and more. We engage in ongoing training to stay focused and to keep our evangelistic flames burning.
Mother’s Board
Brief description of the ministry:
The purpose of this ministry is to reach and teach younger women. We help build the Women’s Department in the local church. We operate under the authority released by the pastor. The group meets every third Saturday of the month.
Musicians
Brief description of the ministry:
Under the guidance of our pastor, we are responsible for accompanying all singing unit’s rehearsals & performances, and church services. We play for weddings and/or funerals by request. We meet and practice style & technique with other musicians for the preparation of rehearsals and services. We also assist in the training of choirs, instrumentalists, and vocal soloists. Interested persons need to speak with the pastor for approval before playing.
Nursery
Brief description of the ministry:
Since babies and toddlers can be a distraction in the Adult Church, the nursery is here to assist. We are open during Sunday Morning Service hours servicing ages 4 and under. Our staff on board shows your child love and attention. The Nursery is located in the lower level of the church. If you wish to serve as a volunteer in the Nursery, you should contact the ministry leader.
Parents in Partnership (PIP)
Brief description of the ministry:
This ministry is designed to assist parents in raising children according to the Word of God. This ministry is designed to alleviate the isolation parents may feel when faced with many issues facing children in today’s society.
Praise Dancing
Brief description of the ministry:
Praise dancing is a way of teaching our youth to give praise and thanks to our Lord and Savior. We teach children how praise dancing is surrendering unto God and giving God all your attention while praising His Holy name. Rehearsals are held on every Thursday night 7-9 and every second and fourth Saturday of the month 11-12 noon.

The purpose of the Trinity Temple Praise Team is to facilitate and usher in the Holy Spirit by expressing worship to the Lord, telling Him we love Him and by praising Him for what he has done and is going to do. We meet on Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Anyone interested in being a part of this spirit filled ministry can contact Sister Janice Emery.
Pulpit Helpers
Brief description of the ministry:
Our purpose is to serve the men and women of God who serve us the word of God. We are a small team of members who rotate the responsibility of servicing the pulpit. Our attention is focused toward the ministers and pulpit guest, the main speaker and the mother board. When needed our assistance provides tissue, water, juice, throat mints, carrying their Bibles, helping up and down pulpit steps etc..
Purity Class
Brief description of the ministry:
This Purity Class is for girls between the ages of 13-19. The purpose of this ministry is to teach the girls the importance of cleanliness of body, mind, and spirit. There will be sessions on homemaking, career development, chastity, Christian charm, dignity, and social ethics.
Scholarship/Education Committee
Brief description of the ministry:
We minister to the members of Trinity Temple and their immediate minor family members (1) by supplying assistance with obtaining financial provisions (2) by offering support and publicizing current scholarship information (3) by sponsoring Career Fairs for traditional and nontraditional students (4) and through an annual recognition service and tangible gift of encouragement for those pursuing or who have completed any level of higher education.
Meetings are the last Wednesday of the month at 7pm during the academic year (Sep.~ June)

Spouses In Prayer Support (S.I.P.S.)
Brief description of the ministry:
S.I.P.S. Ministry is designed for encouragement and support to women who are married to unbelievers. Women are supported to being and remaining Godly in an ungodly situation for the glorification of God. We meet the first Thursday of every month in the lower level classroom, #18.

Sports and Recreation Dept.
Brief description of the ministry:
The Sports and Recreation Department is designed for fun, recreation and competitive sports. Being a coach, a score keeper, or even a cheerleader for the old school team only speaks for a small part of the fun. The Sports Department offers a variety of sports throughout the year and all that’s missing is you.
Sunday School Department
Brief description of the ministry:
The Sunday School Department offers programmed bible studies through quarterly literature. We are also offering alternative classes each Sunday morning beginning at 9:30 AM.
Sunshine Band
Brief description of the ministry:
Our ministry is to work with children, ages 4-11, teaching them gospel songs that are age-appropriate and glorifies the Lord. The Sunshine Band rehearses the two Tuesdays preceding every fourth Sunday. We sing on the fourth Sunday of every month. If you have plenty of patience and love of children, please contact Sister Mason if you are interested in volunteering to help at rehearsal or on the fourth Sunday.
Van Ministry
Brief description of the ministry:
This ministry assist those in need of a ride to Sunday School and Church by picking them up and returning them home after the conclusion of Sunday Morning Service.
WCC (Women’s Christian Council)
Brief description of the ministry:
The purpose of the Women's Christian Council is to provide spiritual and natural support of the church through instruction and training of women, both the "seasoned saint" and of those who are "babes in Christ". We promote a love for the work of the Lord. We encourage the spiritual growth of each woman, as well as the natural and spiritual growth of the church in general.
Welcoming Committee
Brief description of the ministry:
The welcoming committee members rotate among themselves giving the verbal welcome in all required services of the Church. Our main focus is to present a verbal welcome to the visitors during the Sunday Morning Service hour. A member from this group also represents the Church when called upon to give a response to a welcome, often asked for on outside engagements.

Women’s Aerobics
Brief description of the ministry:
We are exercising our physical self with our spiritual self. We assist with nutrition and exercise to be fit, toned and ready for the Master’s use. Brief description of the ministry
A ministry dedicated to males 5-18 years of age. The group builds character through biblical, social, educational and recreational perspectives. The group meets the 1st & 3rd Saturdays (9:00a.m. – 11:30 a.m.) and the 3rd Wednesday (7:30p.m. -9:00 p.m.) of each month.
Youth Choir
Brief description of the ministry:
We are teaching ages 11-18 age-appropriate gospel music that lifts up and glorifies the name of Jesus. We also teach proper conduct for the worship service. Please volunteer if you love youth and have patience. We rehearse the two Tuesdays preceding the fourth Sunday and minister in song every fourth Sunday.

The youth director creates opportunities for youth to assist in local ministries. The youth director sees to it that interested youth participate in the youth portion of all services and are included in using their talents and skills in the Youth Sunday Service.
